About Dr. Louis Mes

Dr. Louis Mes, has been certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery since1979. He has completed his general training at the esteemed University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa. After which he later moved to the United Kingdom to specialize in general surgery where he was elected to Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh, Scotland on top of being a current Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Dr. Mes went on to complete his Residency in Plastic Surgery at the University of Michigan, where he was awarded the Coller Prize for Original Research. Dr Mes is an effective member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, and of the South Eastern Society of Plastic Surgeons. In 1998 a local newspaper poll also voted him as 'Best Plastic Surgeon in Acadiana' having a welcoming, and dedicated professional manner and team.
